GTEASER
Well, no bueno if you're not into the stretch/stanced look. Some people are but I didn't think you were in that camp. judgenot....why did you delete the pic of your stretch. if that's your taste, then flaunt it. RailKill
This is why I am looking for wheels in the 8"-8.5" wide range. I want to be able to put my stock tires on the new wheels without stretching the tires. I'm looking at two sets of wheels, one is 18x8 +45, the other 18x8 +35. I like the +45 wheel better but I don't think I'll be happy with the look of the offset. One reason I'm getting rid of the Sport wheels is because I don't really want to run spacers if I don't have to and the +55 offset of the OEM 18's kills me without them. How far in will an 18x8 +45 wheel sit in the wheel wells. Is anyone currently running these specs? Pics? Joe has taken the full brunt of my indecision, so thanks man, I really appreciate the help! Ellesedil
yea no bueno...well i called and since theyre on backorder, i just switched my order to 18x8 and will deal with spacers if need be When I looked into this, Bridgestone's spec for the OEM LGT tires (225/45 18) was as GTEASER mentioned: 7-8.5". I don't know if there's any drawbacks with putting those tires on a rim that's a half inch wider than the recommended width as I ended up getting 8.5" wheels and didn't bother researching it. Having said that, I doubt your plan is to keep the tires forever, or even stick with that tire size forever. If you suspect you'll be replacing your tires in a year or so and can tolerate the stretch and you'd prefer the 9" rim and everything that entails for the time being, just stick with it. Better to spend the money on the rims, which are expensive, once than to be unhappy with them and want to replace them.

Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk An 18x8+45 will sit exactly 16mm farther out than the stock wheels, so just like running 16mm spacers on your current wheels. fredrik94087
If I remember coreectly, the 2.5i and 3.6r offsets are both +48 "It's within spec" - SOA "Depth is only shallowness viewed from the side." - Fredism "So, how much did it cost for your car to be undriveable ." - Stephen (very close friend) "You have done so much it would be stupid to go back." - Sunny of Guru Electronics 2018Q50RS | 2015WrxThread | Shrek

RailKill
Question. Would a 18x8.75 +33 on Eibachs require any fender work? Too much poke?
s2baru
Gives you an excuse to run a meaty tire. I think you'd be OK. I'd do 245 tire and a slight pull for peace of mind
ncfree
I'd also just go wider tire.
RailKill
I guess I'll avoid that width then. I don't want to mess with the fenders. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
