Woodstock
I recently cleared my headlight 2 weeks ago. Car was perfectly fine. The other night, it was raining hard. The next morning as I was going to work, I pressed the unlock button, but I dont hear the usual "beep beep" sound. I then tried to press lock button as I stood near the car and tried it again to hear a faint "beep". Any of you have experience this? Did it get wet or something? robinlsb
Read your manual. It has nothing to do with the lights. The chime(beep) is disabled. You can enable the chime using the key fob! I have forgotten how. "Belief does not make truth. Evidence makes truth. And belief does not make evidence."

I have forgotten how. That doesn't make sense. Why would it not work when he unlocked it, but work faintly when he locks it. My chime is disabled and it makes no noise when you lock or unlock the vehicle.
Woodstock
the "beep" sound is working, but its not loud as it used to be. And its not the battery.
joeaux
My '05 STi would get "stuff" in the beeper under the hood in the front. Mud, dirt daubers, whatever. I had it replaced like two times. It would get very weak and then finally no beep at all. Maybe it's the same problem with yours. -joe-
