frank_ster Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 some remote starters offer this feature .. its a matter of conecting a wire into the harness and it would turn on the rear defroster after starting. vr4Legacy Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 unfortunately it's not an option for FACTORY defrost.. unless you have frank_ster like skillz and can hotwire something to turn it on. Also bear in mind that you may use the starter in the summer to cool the car, do you want you defrosters on then.... A solution MAY be to wire a relay in that is hardwired to a switch to override the buttons. Then you could switch it on before you shut the car off, then when you start it, the defrosters would be activated.... leaving an option to turn off in summer...
