Oil Separator Cover Part Replacement

Recommended Posts

I have a 2.2 here for a project. I have the flywheel off and want to replace the separator.

Thanks to JohnEgg I have this link:

A few questions though...

Why is one bolt different?

I think that the motor I have is a 1993.. Same parts??

Thanks

PS- The engine number is 818465

THANKS!!!

i don't know exactly, maybe the threads go through to the oil chamber. in other words, maybe the other bolt holes have a bottom and that does not.

just a guess. the odd bolt comes with some kind of ''thread lock'' or sealant on it.

Thanks John.

Looking at those pics. I do see an arrow pressed in the cover pointing to where the oddball goes...

Yeah - the oddball one goes where the arrow is pointing and has threadlock on it from the factory (or should have it).

More information here

Not sure if that's the most recent P/N, but use that one and you should find the most recent one as a replacement.
