Can anyone suggust new center caps, maybe of the subaru varity... I'm not really digging these. My pristine stockers are for sale in the marketplace - $300. http://www.anonymousvoice.com/artwork/rotarims/wheel-shots-003.jpg http://www.anonymousvoice.com/artwork/rotarims/wheel-shots-004.jpg http://www.anonymousvoice.com/artwork/rotarims/wheel-shots-005.jpg

iceman
nice! are those gunmetal or hyperblack? Goin' to Carolina in my mind...and in my car on the 16th!
Ari_OutbackWagon
nice! are those gunmetal or hyperblack? They are more of a satin black. They kind of look small on the car, but the car looks mean and ready for battle. I now need to paint my calipers black cause that's all you see going down the road. I was hoping the Subaru centers would fit, but no luck. I'm just looking for some Subaru centers, that I can paint satin black.

Just order a set of center cap overlays in whatever style you like and they'll be mailed to you. Just measure the diameter of the center caps you intend to cover up. http://www.grafxwerks.com/products/detail.php?pid=LEGT1-1230

Gire
looks to be a really nice fit with the flares! More pics from 100 different angles are needed to verify though! (I love pics) Oh- and what are the specs on these wheels? 17X8 with the standard +48 offset? I don't see how they would be this offset and still flare out that far to cover the Outback... I will take more pics today. I get the strangest comments so far, ranging from "those look ****ing awesome!" to "I thought you had rims on that car, what happened, those look like donkey." rookie ddz
Nice rims, waiting for more pics. Where did you get them? Any dings or junk on them? What rubber did you wrap them in?
Ari_OutbackWagon
Nice rims, waiting for more pics. Where did you get them? Any dings or junk on them? What rubber did you wrap them in? I took pics yesterday afterwork, but they don't do them justice. I'll take more today. I just put the RE92s () on them. I got them off some guy on a local car forum for $275. They have a few flaws, but I think some cleaner wax and nice center caps would make them really stand out. They are 17" x 7.5" with a 48mm offset. rookie ddz
I have been looking at rims for my OB. haven't picked out 17" or go for the 18". I'd like to see a side shot and look at the 'gap' around the wheel well. I'm sure it's the same as stock, but new wheels would make it look a little different. peepshow
No centercaps is the way to go. Take your wheels off, clean your hub/disk with break cleaner, mask off everything around the hub, spray with high-temp flat black, reinstall the wheels. Viola! Everything you can see through the hole that the centercaps used to cover is now flat black. Perfect! I did this with my Rota Attacks, and kept it that way when I put a set of Actions on. Much better than the cheesy, fake CF centercaps. I don't think the flush-fit Rota centercaps fit those wheels.....
Ari_OutbackWagon
I ended up just painting the center caps satin black (not pictured) http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i9/mrmattson/mail-9.jpg
