HAMMER DOWN
Very nicely done. If my 2.0L goes in my Solstice GXP. 3.8L Turbo, would be on my short list. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/0707070914.jpghttp://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/0707070915.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/GXP/0908071245_edited-1.jpg Mike Edited December 9, 2010 by HAMMER DOWN Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
BAC5.2
I have such a hard time taking the Solstice seriously. JohnnyGT08
It's an odd looking car. That's for sure. so are a lot of Subaru cars... NEVER ARGUE WITH A STUPID PERSON. fishbone
The Solstice is too round for my taste too, I much rather get a Saturn Sky, but I don't understand why they are so much more spendy. LE: I looked again, seems like the price gap is not as high as I thought. I dunno, last time I looked at them used, the Sky seemed to be much more expensive. 05LGTLtd
Personally I think the Solstice was the best looking car GM has had in a long time. It was actually on my list of maybes until Pontiac was pulled. (Although the reliability reports were not to impressive) How they manage to get a trunk smaller than the one in my Miata still boggles my mind... Sorry to prolong the OT. All I need now is a hill holder and a center passing light...
05pearl
^^ I like the look of the Solstice/Sky too, especially the Solstice coup. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcThTJwYojRqyO3r5D4wq0EQRng7LNP0DHyAW5MTBkdVCCrIhq-J But, I ended up getting a MSM Miata as it was about half the price. vr4Legacy
This is still utterly amazing to me. I think you should submit your story to a buick GS magazine (I'm sure one exists) this is stuff enthusiasts on both sides eat up.
fishbone
Open up a thread on NASIOC and watch getting trolled to oblivion for being a moron and swapping out a Boxer for a shitty American engine.
NSFW
No, no, that's backward... Go trolling at Nasioc by starting a thread about this. They will go apeshit, and it will be hilarious. It'll be the greatest trolling since the guy with the 2.2T posted a video of blowing up his motor. With NOS. On purpose.
dr_sharp
Hahaha... speaking of trolling and blowing motors... that reminds me of my favorite youtube video ever: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI_gNQLmTM0]YouTube - A ricer destroys an engine.[/ame] lol

massdrewski
wonder if he really came from nasioc.... jk. I say go for it man. Its your car, and Im sure there are some buick forums that will be able to help you out on this adventure. might want to check with sl-i.net and legacycentral.org , search for "H6 swap" on those. some kids there took their 2.2's-2.5's for the H63.3 (svx) and the newer/older H63.0 (outbacks). thought about doing something like this with an older (91) legacy wagon. I wanted to put an inline 4 cummins'. after looking at the info on parts etc I came to realize something about subarus... they are awd with a boxer. the suspension, engine mounts, physical structure/stability of the car is designed for the origional engine. primarily with the suspension. it is not out of the realm of posability, they did make an LS1 powered Legacy GT. RWD of course. I googles it.
