Perrin vs. Gimmick Inlet

Is either of these better than the other or fit better than the other? I have a small tear in my stock one and need a replacement. I have heard a few bad things about the GMS one not fitting correct due to the end not having a bend or a kink to the turbo. Also, is there a different fitment one for either of these for legacys with the airpumps? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about GMS but my Perrin one fits nicely. I had my doubts(not a big fan of perrin) but it fits nicely.

I had to completely loosen my turbo to get the GMS inlet to fit with the intake off. I would never even attempt it with the intake on.

I couldn't get the GMS on my car properly. Ended up selling it and getting a new OEM.

Are you saying you couldn't even get it fit unless you too took the intake or intake manifold off?

Sorry for my unclear post, I changed the TGV's out and had the intake manifold off already. Still a PITA.

The GMS has known fit issues.

Guess it was just easy for me because I had the IM, TGV's and turbo out when I fit it in. But yes, the absence of that small kink does make it more challenging, but still doable.
