BAC5.2
Is it just me, or are RA-type mud flaps the stupidest looking mod you can do? planelazy
Save your money and purchase the real Rally Armor mud flaps. Ikea = rice. Since it's Ikea.. does that mean you won't get all the parts or does it mean it'll break quickly.. or both?
Madjik_Man
Is it just me, or are RA-type mud flaps the stupidest looking mod you can do? I think they look great on an STI or WRX, but look out of place on a legacy. JMO of course.
BigBlack-V
i put the RA mudflaps on my car for the winter and I will remove them once the roads are clean (spring). I had a wrx for 7 years and never had mudflaps and it messed up the paint i like them as they stop 85% of crap from getting all over the car. I was 0. And I'm still a zero. JimyJoeBob
i like the look RA flaps give on my '06 swp sedan, kinda widens the bottom of the car. came in handy when they were digging up my road and it was dirt for more than a year.
planelazy
I think they look great on an STI or WRX, but look out of place on a legacy. JMO of course. I think it also depends on where you live.. I can see the benefit of mudflaps if you live in an area prone to a lot of snow.. like New England or North Central US.. or even the higher elevations in Colorado, Wyoming, etc... my car right now is in Florida.. I don't think I gotta worry about that anytime soon.. just gotta watch out for hurricanes.

I was merely commenting from my opinion based on aesthetics.
longislander1
Jeez, for a minute there I thought that Ikea was now selling auto accessories. I didn't realize they were cutting boards. They look like . . . well, never mind. I don't want to insult anyone other than to say that, aesthetically, they are underwhelming. I sprang for the factory flaps at a discounted price. They look fine, were very easy to install and have lasted through three winters in excellent condition. But, each to his own . . .
MilwaukeeMike
+1 for RA in WI they're only expensive once, fit great, great material, great protection aesthetically I don't really pay attention to them- neutral

planelazy
I don't know but I don't quite think there's much competition in quality mud flaps... unless you consider the Pep Boys "Yosimity Sam" mud flaps as competition

I am VERY interested in those for my OBP LGT They are BBS wheels which came off the 04 STI. They are the only year Subaru made those wheels in 5x100 and they are hard to find. Mine I got powder coated here are a few more pics for you more pics are located in the STI BBS wheel thread. http://i529.photobucket.com/albums/dd340/Jay04WRX/19ec8d3a.jpg http://i529.photobucket.com/albums/dd340/Jay04WRX/003.jpg I was 0.
