m_dogg
I'm sure I'll be fine but want to double check before I pull the trigger. 8" wide rims fit the wheel well without rubbing, correct? Car is stock. Thanks!
scoobydoobie
Need more information. What offset are the wheels you're looking at? And what size tire do you plan on running?

scoobydoobie
You will be fine. However I'd run a 225/45 or 235 with a wheel that's 8 inches wide. Also forgot to ask, what suspension? I run a 225/45/17 on my 17x8 +47. Lowered on Bilsteins/Pinks. Want to try and fit 245/40/17 next.
whitetiger
if you dont mind rolling fenders, you can do a 245/40/17 on a17x8 +45 no problems
boxkita
if you dont mind rolling fenders, you can do a 245/40/17 on a17x8 +45 no problems If you have good camber (2+ degrees), you'll need about 3/4 to 1 inch of clearance depending on low you are. If you have stock camber, you'll need more. With stock suspension on 05 wagon, a 245/40/17 R1 was 2 inches beyond the fender even with the tightest et I could get (would have been a custom rim). The same tire with bc coilovers and 2.5 degrees camber, the tire was still proud of the fender about 3/4 inch.
