rdhayward
I just purchased a used Wilwood rear brake kit, No. 140-7006-D, which includes rear SS brake lines. Wilwood's website shows these parts (Kit No. 140-7006-D and Flexline Kit 220-7010I as only fitting Impreza/WRX models. What's needed to make this fit the rear of my '00 Legacy L Wagon with 16" OEM snowflake wheels? I'd like to know if I can use this rear kit, before I buy a front Willwood setup to match it. Oddly, Wilwood's website lists a front kit for my car, but no brake lines.

rdhayward
I've figured out that it's necessary to convert the rear brakes from 190mm to 170mm parking brakes in order to fit the Wilwood kit. Here are the rear backing plates (for Impreza/Forester) modified by Austin Speed Shop. The outer dust shields had to be removed, and the caliper mounting points machined per Wilwood's instructions so their calipers will fit.
rdhayward
The white Wilwood lettering on my front calipers is already starting to flake off, less than two months after installing them. So I've decided to dress them down a bit with high-temp decal material. Here's what I did with the rear calipers yesterday.
