fishnbass2
Had a axle break. Damaged the splined front differential cover. Just ordered new one from Subaru. Any certain way or tips I need to know to get this off and back on easily?? I have a 98 GT automatic tranny. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I believe you take the bolt and lock plate off and unscrew this. Im sorry. But the part im replacing is differential side retainer. It looks pretty simple as long as it not snugged down to tight. Im thinking if i count my turns and replace with the same amount turns it should be ok. Its looks round so I dont think it matters where the top or bottom of the part is. Am i thinking right here or am i way off??
