corlon
just upgraded from a 1999 legacy l to a gt. doing plugs, wires, coil, air fliter, fuel filter, seafoam, etc and wondering what spark plug gap you guys are running on the 2.5 with the msd coil? I went with the ngk laser iridium plugs.
twisty
i think i gapped mine at .039 the first time, then regapped at .044 or close to it. runs well. i also am running the iridium plugs, but really they are a bit overkill on these cars. the platinums worked just fine. corlon
I went with .047 to start with. I'll put some miles on and check them down the road. the plugs that were in there read .047 on cylinders 1 and 2, and .073 on 3 and 4. assuming all plugs were gapped the same when installed do you guys see the rear 2 cylinder burn up the tips of the spark plugs at all? do they run hotter / leaner?
