boattlebot
just got some "driving lights" from pepboys with some xmass money and got them installed but not wired. the question is, should i just wire them to my parking lights like i originaly intended or to the switch on its on circuit? im wiring it up tomarro sometime and cant wait to see them work, but i just dont know what option to go or what wire to splice into if i wire them up to the parking lights. opinions? GEORGEROV
If it was me I would go for a separate switch so that you have total control of when the lights come on .
boattlebot
not a bad idea im only leaning towrds the parking lights so i dont have to take half the dash apart to put the switch where i want to, and so i dont have to buy more wire

twisty
i just wired fogs into my truck. i ran new power for the fogs, used a relay and brought the signal from the parking lights, so the fogs will work on a switch when the parking lights are on, but i cant forget to turn the fogs off without forgetting the lights on as well. boattlebot
nice, i just ran a parallel circuit on the power and ground for my parking lights and my fogs, im plannin on adding 4 more in the future 2 wired with my highbeams with a relay so i can use a seperate switch if i was offroad or something but thats for after i fix my car and have money lol
twisty
remember that if you do that with dual sources (high beams trigger or switch) youll backfeed the high beams if you use the switch to light up the fogs. may need a diode to prevent that. boattlebot
i would use a relay 85 pos high beams 86 highbeam ground, 35 power normaly open high beams normaly closed would be the switch or something to that effect
