suberdave
Here is My new ride. I'm new to the Legacy world. but not to the Subaru world... For the last 12ish years i have been rocking a Swapped 88 Turbo GL-10. I felt the need for an upgrade. Found this Legacy it was 100% stock, needed a new clutch and head gaskets. I liked the way it drove so I started modding... Started with a full Version 7 STI engine and trans. then found all the cool JDM bits that could be put on this car... and it just evolved from there... http://www.suberdave.com/LegacyGT/tn_WCSS_Wagon.jpg http://www.suberdave.com/LegacyGT/tn_Legacy_RF.JPG http://www.suberdave.com/LegacyGT/tn_Legacy_Interior.JPG http://www.suberdave.com/LegacyGT/tn_Legacy_Engine.JPG Mod List Engine: JDM Version 7 STi EJ207 ARP Head Studs Cometic Head Gaskets Transmission: JDM Version 7 6 speed JDM Version 7 R180 Exedy Stage 4 Twin Disk Electronics: JDM Version 7 ECU JDM Legacy STi Gauge Cluster W/ 10K RPM Tach Tachometer with shift light Wideband AFR Vacuum / Boost Blitz Electronic Boost Control Regulator 255Lph Welbro fuel pump Suspension: 2005+ Legacy GT Tein Flex Coilovers EDFC dampening controller ROTA SDR 17X7.5" Wheels JDM Legacy 22mm Front Sway Bar JDM Legacy 20mm Rear Sway Bar JDM Legacy Aluminum Lower Control Arms Brakes: JDM STi Brembo brakes front and rear STi 1 1/16” master cylinder StopTec Steel braded brake lines F/R Interior Look: JDM Legacy Front and Rear Seats JDM Legacy Door Cards JDM Legacy MOMO Steering Wheel W/ Cruse JDM S401 Red Hazrd Button STi Shifter Surround and Knob One touch Down and Up Front Window Switch STi Aluminum Pedal Set Exterior Look: JDM Legacy Front Bumper W/ Lip JDM Legacy Side Skirts JDM Legacy Rear Bumper W/ Lip JDM Legacy Aluminum Hood W/ Scoop JDM Legcay E-tune L7 Front Grill JDM Legacy Roof Rails JDM Legacy Rain Guards JDM Legacy Power Folding Mirrors W/ Turn Signals JDM Legacy KOUKI HID Headlights W/ Leveling System JDM Legacy Fog Lamps JDM Legacy Clear Tail Lamps and Center Garnish JDM Legacy Clear Fender Signal Markers Here are a couple of my other cars. 1988 GL-10 http://wordpress.suberdave.com/wp-content/gallery/wash-and-wax/front-of-car-bw.jpg http://wordpress.suberdave.com/wp-content/gallery/engine-build/dsc_0099.jpg 1987 GL Coupe http://www.suberdave.com/LegacyGT/tn_For-Dave-3-of-11.jpg http://www.suberdave.com/LegacyGT/tn_Sunset.jpg http://www.suberdave.com/LegacyGT/tn_Coupe_Engine.jpg -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com

s2baru
Your rear engine swap I'd seen at WCSS and recently heard about you having a really nice wagon. Wish I could see it too. Have you shown it anywhere yet? Maybe I'll see if next summer if you do

Tashi
Wait a minute lemme put some wtf in it....gen 4 coils fit?
Matty2Hotty
They do, but only the lower mounts of the coils are direct bolt on. You have to get BE/BH coil rear top hats for them to work unless you plan on drilling new holes into your frame supports. Getting coil parts have to be Japan directly for the BE/BH unfortunately which isn't cheap nor easy unless you know some body Wait a minute lemme put some wtf in it....gen 4 coils fit? suberdave
i didnt do anything in the rear for the tophats. they bolted right up, with the tophats that came with the Tein Flex coilovers. as for the front i just bought some Impreza Tophats/Camber plates. I had these Gen 4 Coilovers on my 88 GL for years. they fit that car too... just had to modify the rear mounting points and add bushings in the eye of the rear for a smaller bolt. suberdave
about any. they are the same as a 1980's GL all the way up to atleast 2000ish impreza and legacy.
xxBLOOD88SHOTxx
So what was the process for all the wiring of the v7 into this legacy? I have a 97 L that I'm going to try to bring back to life and can't decide on doing an ej22g or a newer ej205 or even an ej257.
suberdave
Since an EJ22G is the engine code for a 22b impreza and im sure you dont have one of those. im thinking your talking about a EJ20G. I have done both 20G swaps and 205/7 swaps. since your car is OBDII already i would go with a newer swap if you can afford too. EJ20G's are cheap but they are also all 20+ years old. if you have any questions shoot me a PM ill help you out. -=Suberdave=-
seishowtime
how did you get around to being able to use the black door cards? Specifically, what did you do to make the driver door one work? the JDM left door does not have the extended space for the window controls like the usdm ones. Thanks

2.5LGTRX
Hi there nice wagon. I have a WRX swapped 03 2.5 LGT wagon as well Quick question. I noticed in the mod section you mention LGT LCA's Are those the actual LGT one's? If so is there any differentiating markings so tell tail signs that it's a BH one. I have a aluminum set that took me a while to find and I want to make sure I got the part. I ask cause I used to have a Bugeye and I swapped out the LCA's w/WRX one's and knowing the differences between the wagon and sedan the wheels poked out because of the fenders, etc. The Legacy's also go through this as well? I'm running 18/9.5 in 35 offset and the wheels currently set pretty good, I really can't afford for them to stick out more than stock Please let me know your thoughts Thanks
Gex
I remember seeing that GL Coupe a few years ago at the WCSS. Cool car! Legacy looks sublime as well!

I drove up to Canada and picked them up along with a bunch of other stuff from the JDM BH that was being parted out. they dont have any markings or anything on them that would show that they were from a Legacy. if i remember correctly they only said Subaru on them. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
2.5LGTRX
Thanks for the response, were the mounting points for the sway bar slanted? On the WRX ones I had they were straight up/down. They look like a / Did you notice that on yours? What did you have to do to make this work with the sway bar?
