That could be the oil cooler leaking, the thing at the base of the filter. Both Legacy's with <100k miles I've been under leaks from here

this car was rebuilt no less then 1k on the car that's why with leak from there is kinda odd.

someone told me that can be the power steering leak.

^+1. And carefully check the 'half moon' seals that are sandwiched between the valve cover and the head. They should have been changed when they did the rebuild. Those items are easily overlooked. They could also leak a bit of oil. There are two of them on the passenger side.

In the PM you said you thought the fluid color was red.

Could it be power steering fluid. Check the tank in the right front fender.

Definitely looks like there is at least a valve cover gasket leak. I'm thinking he forgot to put liquid gasket in the necessary areas, and/or overtorqued the valve covers.

yea apexi that's what I thought too as you can tell it seen like is dripping from the valve cover.

If your PS is low, check the o ring on the side of the pump. Lots of guy's have that as the leak.

Mine your had to see from under the car, The steering rack was moist, looked like the top fitting was leaking around the flange seal.

If that's your problem, there is only one re-man company my mechanic would use. It wasn't cardone. I think I posted the name in my engine rebuild thread from last year. I can look if you need.

My mechanic gave me a open qt of Valvoline PS fluid to keep it topped off till I had time and he could get the rack he trusted. Over the winter it really didn't use much, may be a little over a cup of fluid.

Since he replace the rack all is fine.

With only 2 months after rebuild take it back and have them fix the problem.

Motor should be washed down after fix so you can monitor.

yea that's what I was saying when I get my motor back it seen like it haven't been touch it dirty as it use to be , no clean up no nothing on them.. and I don't want to go back I went to him 3 times and he keep blaming me for the issue not the motor. don't trust with their job , so I might get it done from my tech also have them to see if they changed anything or not if so I will file a small court if I find out they didn't do anything to my car .

Take it back, they have not installed the VC correctly. Did they put sealant on the half moons ?

If not, they need to redo the job.

Could be another area leaking. If the shop is good they may not have checked the oil return hose from the turbo while they next to it.
