Recommended Posts

1. the friggin studdering - especially cold days or cold engines

2. there's a rattle in the back that i can't seem to isolate cuz it only happens when I drive over bumps

3. the wipers suck - they leave a huge portion of water unwiped.

4. the fog diffuser sucks

5. there's no rear wiper

6. the brakes are terrible

7. the clutch stinks

8. everytime I turn hard left, there's a squeaking sound

9. the lumbar support thing doesn't support my lower back, but hits an awkward position

10. the vents smell

11. the moonroof stops in the middle when I try to close it

12. the tires are crap

13. no HIDs

and the list goes on..

but hell.. it's better than a civic. I still love my car.

1. Amen

2. not a problem

3. not a problem, but the blades are cheap

4. no opinion yet

5. not a problem. God bless RainX.

6. never had a problem with the brakes.

7. that goes away very soon.

8. never had that problem

9. never noticed that either

10. actually, they stink and you smell. ;) Get it right.

11. that is the way it is designed, but yeah.. that bugs me too.

12. never had a problem with the tires. I've had the car since February and have drivin in snow, rain, and shine. No problemo. Much better than the bald Pilots I had on my last car.

13. Cheap fix. Mine has HIDs. ;)

The stutter is the main gripe for me. The rest of my gripes it I knew about when I bought the car. Well, most of them other than the soft paint. I can't do anything to fix that though. I've learned to deal. The stutter is a major bitch that shouldn't be a problem. Now that the weather is getting colder I'm getting the cold engine stutter again too. Hopefully I can leave the car over night at the dealership so they can test it in the morning and really get the full effect.

oh one more thing.

did you ever slam on the brakes real hard before?

I've done this before to see what happens, just in case I really have to... well anyway

you get this really weird vibration on the brake pedal...

I dunno how to describe it, but it feels like my food went right through the floor... or.. the pedal is grinding on the asphalt or something. like the kind of vibration you get when you rub a rock against the asphalt... something like that.. . well.. I hope you understand my description.

thats the ABS engaging my friend...

it "pulsates" just like you describe....it's actually braking and unbraking super fast! It keeps your tires from locking up and skidding....thus allowing you to keep steering (can't steer when skidding) and stop sooner!

:)

I'm pleasantly surprised... It was most certainly worth the couple bucks and 10 mins of my time.

1. get on the gas harder and the studdering goes away.

2. I got one around the passenger B pillar.

3. first time driving in the rain, wipers work fine.

4. no fog yet, so can't say how they work.

5. rear wipers work fine on my car. Oh wait I have a wagon.

6. brakes seem fine, better than my last car

7. no clutch to stink with an auto

8. no sound here

9. driver seat lumbar is too low even with the seat all the way down. Passenger seat lumbar is perfect.

10. no smell here

11. read the manual. It's a safety feature. Takes 3 steps to fully open the wagon's moonroof and 3 steps to close.

12. works fine for daily driving

13. standard lights are pretty bright compare with other cars.

What the hell...no mention of the seat belt chime or the DRL's? I feel cheated...:icon_bigg

Seriously though I love my car. 4 months in, and I buy the exact same one.

As far as what you've mentioned...AP, new tires, HIDs, rainx, new wipers, maybe some springs and your good to go. Get out there and find an Audi S4 to play with:icon_bigg

Believe it or not I think he is right here. I only have 2600 miles on my car, but i drive vary hard and the studder is 95% gone. I've had the car for 3 months and i cant remember the last time it's happened. Not saying others complaining about the car don't get on it as much as I do, but i have 1/10th the miles that others do and they still have the issues and I don't.

Go figure.

I just don't like having to be used to the ticking subaru valvetrain. It goes against my common wisdom.

Also the feeling of starting a horizontally opposed engine on a cold morning is much more different than a V6.

And as far as the studdering, I only notice it really when the car is cold and it's usually fairly easy to avoid now.
