vichugo
:confused:anyone have any experiences (positive/negative) with front end "bra's" on Legacy (sedans)? Finished waxing my new "08" and noticed a few dings from road debris...with only 3k on the car I'm thinking that some additional protection might be in order. Haven't been able to find anyone offering the "08" bra on-line yet. thanks in advance
Zed 2.0
Clear bra film only. A regular car bra is horrible for your paint.
rudy
x2 on the Clearbra.
jamiesong
I have it on my 08. Hardly notice it's there minus the bubbles, etc from a rather mediocre install (I've taken it back and they barely improved, never going to that shop again). mastabo
where to get those bras?
jamiesong
Usually some kind of auto-accessories place or tinting place will be able to do it. Research in your area - ask dealerships if need be. I didn't have much in the way of recommendations, but ended up paying the price for it...
paycer
The first two Subies we had got chipped like crazy on the leading edge of the hood and the front end. After seeing that, I've had both the latest Subies clearbra'd in less than 5 days from getting them. Subie has crappy paint, so the clearbra is worth every penny! The kits the shop has used on both cars cover the whole front of the car and the leading edge of the hood, fenders and the front facing side of the sideview mirrors. spicytuna
There's a vendor on this forum which sells Lamin-X protection for the Legacy. It's a similar product to the 3M clear bra which you can install yourself. I got my package today and I'll be installing my clear protection within the next week or two. Should be interesting. Dakar95Matt
About how much does it cost to have a clear bra installed on a legacy?
paycer
It cost me $450.00 for the "full front" as they called it and another $145.00 for a 20% all window tint job.
deeslk
I paid 250 for just the front hood.
spicytuna
I paid around $400 for the lower hood, bumper, fenders, side mirrors, head lights and foglights.
SLegacy99
I have the stone guard and it just makes things worse. Can't take it off though cause it wore holes in my paint that I should probably touch up before they rust.
