Blights
Decided to wrap some stuff. Still waiting on radio. So I can finish. Here is a teaser pic. I like how it came out. Before on the left after on the right. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
pnmid
Nice look! What's the source of the cf wrap?
Blights
It's 3m carbon fiber vinyl wrap made by ikon. I bought it off amazon. Stretched well and stuck well. Will see how it holds up after time. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Swannee225
It looks good. I think i would have made the weave all face the same way though Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
1fast4by
That looks good, my brother-in-law and I have been wanting to try this.. Id like to wrap all the faux wood trim and possibly the hood (my paint isnt that great there)
Blights
I have heard that it does really hold up to well on the outside of cars. I wanted to do my trunk but decided not to after I heard that. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Rusty9
3m 1080 series is a 7 year warranty outdoor vinyl. But realistically 5 at least on a vehicle horizontal surface.
Blights
That's good to know. You Probably Still Have To Be Real Careful What You Wash It with. Shows scratches easy. I'm doing a test spot on my trunk to see what happens with washing and all. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Blights
It looks good. I think i would have made the weave all face the same way though Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk I thought about it the same way. I wanted a little different pattern. So I kept the shifter the same. Cause no matter what way. The bend on the side pieces will change direction due to the wrap bending the corner. Rusty9
Well the "carbon fiber" is not like the other regular finishes that conform easily with a bit of heat. It really looks like ass on hoods and roofs because it has a wavy pattern when applied. I try to steer people away from doing that and keep it for accent pieces. Blights
Def agree rusty. I Only Want To Do The Little Silver Trim In The Middle Of My trunk..I would never Wrap A Huge Body Piece With this. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
pnmid
I would have made the weave all face the same way too, probably not diagonal. I've thought of applying it where there are a few scratches on the plastic around the shifter as an accent. Wonder if it come in small sheets or one size only. ChiveOn
This is what I did. Not to knock the previous pics posted, but it would drive me crazy if I had the weave going in all different directions. And I prefer it as an accent. Its just too much when you do most or all pieces. I also painted my trim ring in bumper coating. Its a good middle ground between gloss and flat. It matches with the rest of the black trim very well.
ChiveOn
And the cf wrap is not shiny, that is just the crappy flash on my phone. It matches very well with the stock black trim as well.

ChiveOn
Or really this forum in general for the most part. LOL There was an unofficial meet up where I live for the launch of the KCCO black lager. It was pretty fun. Met a couple Suby enthusiasts as well.
