Where to get a trailer hitch installed?

I'd like to get a trailer hitch installed on my wife's 2011 Outback (3.6R).

Of course, the local dealer quoted an absurd price to install the Subaru hitch.

The local U-Haul locations get mixed reviews, but they can do turn key install for a good price.

I've looked at the options on http://www.etrailer.com, but if I ordered a hitch from them I'd have to find somebody to install it for me.

(Don't bother suggesting I do it myself. I've installed a hitch before, and I'm not going to do it again right now.)

Are there any shops in suburban MD (or even NoVA) that would install a third-party hitch for a reasonable price?

Where in MD are you? Hollenshade's in Towson is good -- they charge actual time spent if it's less than the book time, and book time if it's more.

Oh, also, why not do it yourself? Only partially kidding here. Did the previous vehicle you installed a hitch on come with the holes pre-drilled like Subarus do?

I'm in Gaithersburg. Towson is a bit out of the way, but I'd go that far for a good shop. I've also got some friends in Towson, so that would be a bonus there.

I assume this in the place you mean?

As for not installing it myself, I'm dealing with some health issues right now that make it hard to do any kind of heavy lifting or other strenuous activity. I can afford to pay somebody else to install it, so I'd rather not even try it myself.

I'm looking at ordering from http://www.etrailer.com. I think the hitches they offer were in the $160 ballpark. That's for 3500-4000 lb towing capacity, 2" receiver. Wiring harness and other accessories are extra. I also priced it out at U-Haul's website and the prices for just the hitch were about the same. U-Haul's complete package with installation was something like $360. But their reviews are mixed.

I called a few shops about installation today. Andrewtech and DPS will both do it. I haven't made any decisions, but I'm leaning toward DPS. Not only can they get to it much sooner, but their labor rate is lower. The guy at Andrewtech said they are booked until the third week of April.

I got my hitch from e-trailers.

Hands down, Andrewtech is the better of those two shops.

Wow, I guess I forgot to update this thread after my hitch install. I ended up going to Andrewtech and they were great to work with. The hitch is nice, although I've only used it for bike racks so far.
