godwhomismike
I have noticed this week that I have a burning smell coming into the cabin after driving my Legacy. Also, when I pulled out of my driveway, I noticed some droplets going down my driveway after I pulled out - maybe 4 or 5 wet spots about the size of a half dollar. Has anyone seen this before. The car is 1 year and 3 months old with 9400 miles on the odometer.
snoman
Are the "wet spots" oil or water?
godwhomismike
not sure, but they look more like a water spot. They are not brownish colored.
godwhomismike
Smells like burning oil and rubber. I got an oil change about maybe 2700-2800 miles ago from my Subaru dealership. I wonder if maybe the filter or something they did wasn't right?
SWP-LegacyGT
Shouldn't have been since I know (by now at least) they should be carrying the proper oil filters.
Outback XT
Do a search on oil filters. SOA has had some problems with certain ones leaking. They should have the right ones by now like you said but who knows.
godwhomismike
I wonder if they'll give me a free oil change if I complain about it
franklin
I'd get the car to the dealer to check this out. You need to find out what is up.
melayouttehJerb
They installed the faulty oil filter(Even tho I discussed the TSB about it before Grrrrrr) at my last oil change and I would smell burned oil at fuel stops.
