Need suggestion on gril material 05 LGT

Hi guys i want to do custom grill for my 05 LGT, have some options, but don't know what would look clean and nice.

I want to do top piece and bottom, my car color is silver

I found some ABS plastic, can't decide which would be better.

I had the same issue with trying to find good quality mesh for my dual sport moto. Found some great stuff at http://www.mcmaster.com/

 

The have all different sizes and types under the "filtering" section. I went with some really nice stainless steel mesh they offer. May do the same with my Legacy grille at some point.

Also, like a couple days ago on here there was a thread on the honeycomb abs grill, I believe a

guy found it in sheets and it looked good, alot like the JDM honeycomb grill.

TheBlackPearl: Yep that what i was thinking, i tried local hardware stores, but they did not have anything. I think i would order from the second link for the grill and do the same for the bottom part.

Home Depot or Lowes, get the gutter guard stuff. Cut to size and paint and be done with it.

I picked up the insert from this guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Legacy-Grille-05-06-Thick-Aluminum-Grill-/370772282112?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ALegacy&hash=item5653c00b00&vxp=mtr. It comes pre-sized to fit in front of your grill ribs if you just remove the Subaru oval logo. I gutted my grill and resized this insert to fit deeper.

 

You should be able to find his website where he offers three mesh sizes, powder coated or not. I don't think it would be that hard to get him to send you a custom size, since they're made to order. Or just order the biggest one he offers to make your own lower grill.
