magnoon
So lately my CD player has been a bit moody. Sometimes it will turn on and work, other times it will turn on, make a few mechanical noises and turn off, and sometimes ill be mashing the cd button and it just wont do anything. When it doe work, it'll turn off if i try to switch cds. also, before it turns off all the screens and lights int he center consol flash 2 or 3 times... any thoughts?? Radio works fine.... Thanks! -Chris
2.5GT_dude
have you checked the fuses?
Alfred_Buchi
Loose connection somewhere. Did you use a plug and play harness or did you splice wires? I've seen tons of weird CD player issues that were the result of a bad install. I'd pull the unit and check that your fuses are in tight (if they were blown you wouldn't have intermittent issues, you'd have nothing) and that all your wires are connected well. magnoon
it's not an aftermarket system, its the stock system, so no wire anything has been done. Ill check the fusebox and see whats up. its been giving me nothing for about a week now, so maybe that could be the culprit
2.5GT_dude
if you pull the stereo out and smell anything burnt that's usually a definite sign of bad
KCwagon
I had the same issue with mine. The CD player finally stopped working, then the radio would not change stations....then the climate control became stuck on A/C/auto...then I replaced the unit with another factory unit and everything is good again.
