Use the recommended NGK plug for the car, nothing else. Did I say NOTHING else !

They come pre gapped.

Most of us use Shell Rotella t6 5-40 and a good oil filter

You may want to clean the MAF sensor.

Read the DIY's threads on here.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

I bought a 4-pack of the NGK iridiums that were supposedly for the LGT, however when I double-checked the gaps they were all roughly 0.040". Our gap is supposed to be between 0.028" and 0.030", correct? Just a friendly heads up.. don't always trust the pre-gapped plugs.

Max, have you heard of running an RX-8 oil filter?

There is a thread on here about the RX8 filters and threads that talk about them and other oil filters.

I'll just stick with one of the name brands.

Yea...I agree you should check the gap any ways. I did when I put new plugs in the new short block.
