gmentals
What's up guys? I'm looking for someone that has time to meet up to listen to my car. I have a noise that I believe to be piston slap but I want to be sure. I wouldn't mind a general assessment of the car either. This is my first Subaru so maybe I'm being paranoid. I would however prefer to get a members opinion before I take it to a shop. I can meet up pretty much anywhere around 695 or even the top of 495 on a weekend. Weekdays I work 2nd shift in Woodlawn but you are welcome to stop by after 5:30 pm. I can supply some gas money as well. Greg
Heffernan
Why don't you stop by AndrewTech and have them take a listen? Give Sam a ring and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
gmentals
That was going to be my next step. IAG is actually closer. Do you recommend Andrewtech over IAG?
Heffernan
Both are great shops. I go to AndrewTech because it's closer and I already have a relationship with everyone there. So I'm a bit bias
gmentals
Yeah, I'll probably make the drive down there. I have dealt with them before through another shop in Beltsville that I used to work at.

gmentals
Not yet. I took it to my buddy's shop in Beltsville this past Sunday. I changed the oil and cut open the filter to look for bearing material. It was clean. He used a stethoscope as I moved through different rpms. He says it's coming from the drivers side head. I will eventually take it to Andrewtech. Working 2nd shift doesn't give me a lot of time with the normal world though. Lol.
