lvethesnow
just out of curiosity, why do some outback owners lower their cars. doesn't this defeat the purpose of having it. nothing against it. just wondering, cause some look very good. BAC5.2
No Legacy Wagon in 09, and if there was it would have been an auto. So I made my own 09 5MT LGT wagon. OutbackXT05
They are way more outbacks then there are legacy wagons. Plus outback flares plus slammed equals awsomeness. Im been throwing back and forth the idea of lowering mine more or putting a small lift on it. I cant decide.
kongzilla
What Bac said. 07+ wasn't offered a wagon GT in a manual. We had to go with outbacks to get a manual. If there was a Wagon GT in 07, I'd bought that instead.

Rhitter
05 was the last year the Legacy GT wagon was offered as a manual. Finding an OB-XT in a manual was hard enough, finding a Legacy GT wagon would have been impossible. My OBXT build

scoobyscoodle
I wanna do that but in the mud. I have, after a big rain last winter, and I'm still cleaning mud out of every crevice under the car. SOOO much fun though!
OutbackXT05
Oh i know the fun i literally covered every square inch of my outback in mud. Even the roof. My friend didnt want to go througH it in his lifted chevy 1500 because he was only 2wd. I said screw it and hit esentially a lake at about 40-50mph and since that day over a year ago my engine bay is all dirty. This is why i like the thick mud. Stang70Fastback
just out of curiosity, why do some outback owners lower their cars. Because they want to have to enter uneven driveways and street entrances slowly at 45 degree angles just like the ricers. DUH!
OutbackXT05
^^^^Yup. Even though im lowered on legacy suspension im still higher than my brothers 07 accord lol. I roll over curbs all day. I jdm uhaul trucks over speed bumps yo.
BAC5.2
I only ever have to worry about extra-steep departure angles because of my hitch. ssbtech
An Outback only looks good lowered a certian amount. The "slammed" look really is just a by-product of the lack of available suspension options for the Outback as owners cobble together Legacy suspension components. The Megan racing coilovers were good in that they allowed you to maintain the stock height if you do use the car off-road, but also allowed for lowering by a couple of inches. Only problem is they rode like utter sh1t, broke often and generally sucked. The BC/BR are not much better since they're cranked out of the same factory. RacingFish
and not too everyone takes their outbacks off roading where they need that extra few inches of clearance for their diffs.
lowwill
Some went lower I went higher with lift spacers from subtle. Only 1"lift and I want to go higher. Hit every water puddle and back roads looking for mud. Its a Subaru right?
