G.T.Subie
Went with the Conti Extreme Contacts in 225/45/17 and WOW what a difference after spending 30k miles on stock RE92's:redface: . I immediately noticed a smoother ride around town and on the highway. Those gaps on the Turnpike aren't as harsh and the potholes aren't ass scary. Plus with the larger tire it has that flare to it that helps protect the rim and also gives it a more aggressive look IMO. Definitely worth the $97 per tire. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g131/matthewhorner/NewTires006.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g131/matthewhorner/NewTires007.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g131/matthewhorner/NewTires002.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g131/matthewhorner/NewTires008.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g131/matthewhorner/NewTires001.jpg Denial is your best friend

G.T.Subie
Yeah, want some Struts first. Thats another reason why I went with 225 also so it's easier to swap to an 8" rim. Denial is your best friend
jingjing
looks good. i plan on getting 225/45/17 when my tires go bad.

G.T.Subie
Haven't had the opportunity to push them yet, only had them installed yesterday. I am heading to Rhode Island this weekend so that should be a nice test. I very curious to see how they are in the rain compared to the Re92's. ralphyralph5
Hey congrats on the new rubber! I picked up a set of ContiSport Contacts 225/45/17 last month...LOVING them!
Lie495s14
how many psi you pumped each Contixtreme tire ? I had mine 40 front 39 rear, and they still look flat.
Lie495s14
same with mine. Maybe because its a different size? 215/45/17. F40/R39 psi is too rough for daily driving, i'm thinking back it down to F36/R35 psi this summer.
Lie495s14
Right, but Gtsubie got the 225, not 215 look at his 3rd picture. they look low on air, that's why i ask how much air he put in those tires.
LegacyMUN2k6
I was looking at the bridgestone pole position re960's in 18, but i might go with these instead since the price is right and there almost similar in performance.

Cliff
I had the Contiextremes on my WRX and they were great. Quiet and a HUGE improvement over the RE-92s in every weather condition.
ShagginWagon1657615070
I have these as well. GREAT in the snow, and much more fun in the corners! Of course, I wish that I had gotten the 225s instead of 215s. Next time... On a totally unrelated note, I have some stock RE92s for sale... AirSix
G.T. does your Leggy have a suspension drop? I was considering 225's on the stockers also. I'm curious how it would look under my iON drop. I tell myself that an N/A Forester is just an STI without all the fluff like, power, handling, style, racing heritage, and curb appeal.
edmundu
Heightsgtltd's review & continued satisfaction also convinced me to try the Conti's as well:)! No regrets, and this was coming from the Pzero's. The icing on the cake will be how they wear...I got 43k out of the Pirelli's.
edmundu
Definitely worth the $97 per tire. Was that a mounted/balanced price? I paid $121ea mounted/balanced, plus $7ea road hazard warranty....

edmundu
Why not the RE690 PP A/S? I have the PZero's and will go to them next. I wasn't convinced the RE960's were worth $45ea over the Conti's. I drive alot of hwy miles, so wear is important. I seriously doubt the 960's would wear 25% longer than Conti's or the Pzero's, so I decided to save a few bucks.... G.T.Subie
This morning completly sold me on these tires. It was pouring and there were puddles all over the roads and these things nevere once skwirmed or lost their handle. I was so used to floating over the water on the RE92's that my car felt so much better in the heavy rain. Denial is your best friend

Vimy101
ContiExtremes were my choice for winter rubber. They have been fantastic. Great in snow and rain. A little squishy (215/50-17) so I have them 39f/37.
