BanzGotBoost
Hey guys, I'm sure some of you have seen my other post, I'm debating whether or not to get this new ECU put in tomorrow or not. Will I run the risk of damanagin the car with a stock ECU and an aftermarket TMIC, Up pipe, and Down pipe? I might get the ECU changed tomorrow but I have no idea when I can get a tune in since the cable I have right now isn't working. Any and all help is greatly appreciated :spin:
thebigevilfoot
Just don't run it hard. I had quite a little bit of time in between my parts and tune and my car was fine.
BanzGotBoost
from what I heard from the subaru tech, adding the new ecu will reduce the boost down to 13 instead of the current tune of 17, and my fuel consumption might be messed up, does that sound right? i think at this point im gonna keep running on the "damaged" ecu until I can find a tactrix to borrrow and get the rom off of the current ecu and put it on the new ecu. has anyone had any issues with the tactrix cable and windows 7? Max Capacity
I'm not good with this stuff, but don't you use a local Tuner ? I have someone local. Try Tuning Alliance.com of Infamous here somewhere. I think they are both vendors. Look around you should be able to get one of them. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). Max Capacity
Personally, I'm not good with all this tuning stuff. I leave that to the Pro's, I'm lucky enough to have a Tuning Alliance close to me. He's been over the house a couple of times. These guy's are worth there weight in gold. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
