babeatto
I can get hold of a bunch of older model Bilstein suspensions. I was wondering if they can be installed into the new legacy perfectly? Any pros and cons about used suspension? thanks.
apexjapan
I can get hold of a bunch of older model Bilstein suspensions. I was wondering if they can be installed into the new legacy perfectly? Any pros and cons about used suspension? thanks. They won't fit the new Legacy - too different in enough key areas. That is one of the reasons it took a while for new coilovers to appear in Japan for the new Legacy. The only pro for used suspension is the price. The cons: worn/blown dampers sagging springs Though suspension, in general, is sturdy enough that you won't get them in bad shape, it is something to keep in mind. I've seen stock dampers that have lasted 5 years, and I've seen some where one of the dampers only lasted 5 months.
