devenh
In another thread I talked about driving my 2006 Legacy 2.5 GT automatic wagon in the Silver State Challenge Classic for 90 miles at 100mph. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/100mph-legacy-2-5-gt-wagon-90miles-legally-214268.html Another part of the event was a quarter mile drag strip where you passed through a timing device. Here are some results: Legacy GT: 103.7 mph Ferrari 308 GTS: 81.3 mph Nissan 350Z: 105.9mph Complete results: http://www.sscc.us/event_results/results-13-sscc.htm Not too bad, eh? Conditions were slightly damp, so maybe the all wheel drive helped? The Legacy automatic is painfully slow of the line. But once the boost kicks in, it goes. What a great car!! PortCityLGT
Nothing to do with AWD, everything to do with the fact that the 308 is ~30 years old. Bit of a sensationalist title there. Great car though, yes.
dgoodhue
81.3mph is super slow for even 308 Ferrari. It should doing at least 90's if running properly and the driver is competent. My 2.5i is even faster than that in the 1/4 mile 83.4 mph

CousinLarry
I think 81mph trap speed is about on par with a Honda Civic, so... Not surprising! ;D
JmP6889928
You can find those things cheaper than a good used LGT if you look hard enough. The 308 was a turd, even at the time they were new BUT they do say Ferrari on them and chix dig em.
devenh
Forgot to mention, the elevation of the event was about 6,400 ft. This certainly put the Ferrari at an additional disadvantage.

GTTuner
308GTS? Seriously? Those were turds, I beat one back in 1989 with a Dodge Caravan Turbo.
