legacy2005
well i threw a CEL last night when i started my car. pulled the code and saw it was a P2016. i know its the tgv sensor for bank 1 (passenger side right?) as anybody actually replaced these and how much of a pain are they do to? is it possible to just replace the sensor or does the whole assembly need to be replaced? my car is still under warranty but the service manager at the local shop is an a** and will try to charge me. so if its cheap/easy to do id rather do it myself. any/all info would be great, i hate driving with a cel/flashing cruise. subarupartsdude
We've replaced just the sensor before, not the whole tgv setup. As far as a cost...not really sure.I would buy the sensor and replace it myself.Just make sure you line the new sensor backup right in the slot......or it'll run like crap. It's two bolts that hold it onto the tgv body itself. If ya want part number just say so...... legacy2005
ya.. id love the part number if you could. im assuming i have to take the tgv off to do this correct? since it looks as if the sensor on the passenger side is in the back by the turbo. subarupartsdude
According to the parts catalog the passenger side is in the front of the tgv setup.I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like. You should not have to take the whole setup out.You should be able to reach the two bolts with no problem. The motor itself is 14120aa050
GooseSRH
So what is a "TGV" and would it make it run like crap, i.e. stall out, sputter real bad? Would that trip the P2106 code for an "Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor" Or, am I just buggin' out for no reason?
