Gum on armrest--HELP!

My wife picked up some chewing gum on the elbow of her suede jacket, and transfered some onto the armrest. Any suggestions on removing it from the armrest?

Oh yeah, any suggestions on the jacket?

As for the armrest... googone works really well. Also, orange cleaner works well too but leaves that orange chocolate smell which some ppl dont like.

As for the jacket, if its really deep in the suede I would take it to the cleaners. You might be able to get it out with some leather/suede cleaner... I would just say cleaners for that though.

yea i second the new car...make the woman feel guilty about it all day everyday till she gets fed-up and takes u in to pick up a spec B

Put the suede jacket in the freezer overnight, the gum will get so hard and brittle it will just peel right off.

Thanks for the tips. My favorite involved the Spec B. It'll take more than some recycled Chicklets to get my butt into those red leather seats.

i heard that toothpaste will work. my friend got gum stuck in her hair once.. and someone recommended toothpaste. it seems to harden the gum and make it easier for you to remove it...

Sorry, this thread instantly made me think of that episode. Good luck with both jacket and armrest.

Try invertig a can of compressed air and blast the gum with the liguid that comes out. It will freeze the gum and you'll be able to chip it right off. As a precaution mask off the surrounding area with masking tape. Best of luck.
