Parts from flooded car?

So here's the deal, I'm shopping around for winter wheels on my new Outback and I come across an add where this scrapyard is selling brand new wheels from a '11 outback, no miles.

Drove down (2 hours away) and noticed they had new wheels for pretty much any car Subaru had in production in '11, the tech said they received a complete dealer inventory after the lot was flooded, most of them brand new cars, including a few STI's.

So my question; could the parts from a flooded STI (flooded to mirror height) be salvageable for a 6MT swap on my LGT? Tranny, Diff, etc...

If I could land a brand new diff/tranny/driveshafts at rebate and get the smaller bits elsewhere for the parts that may not be recoverable that would work too.

With any flooded car, if water got into the trans then there is the possibility that there is rust on something and has compromised the parts integrity. Now if you get the trans cheap and has it cracked open to find out if everything is in working order etc then I would say it might be worth it. Wheel should be good though, tires might want to replace.
