Dicehave123456
As ricey as it sounds, and I hate to admit it, but I'd like to get some floor lighting installed in my wagon. I have an 05 GT but I dont really know where I would really splice in the wiring at. I know I want to rig it to a switch like I had on my old impreza, but I dont want it to be a plug in for the outlet as I use both of my outlets for other things The attachments is an example of my old car. Granted I wont do blue this time around just cuz its from when I was much younger, but still its just to give an example of what I'm trying to get at
AkumaMax
I understand completely about the footwell lighting. I myself would like some too just a nice white instead of blue but that's your choice. Anyway. The best thing I can say is go the "Add a Fuse" route. This way you can add a new 12V DC plug into your car while keeping your others for what you want. Plus you can hide everything away. Then just run your power to a switch and ground the negative wires. Once you've done that then your good to setup some lights.
Dicehave123456
Because im no good with wiring youll have to explain this to me in detail. When I was younger I just made a custom plug in for my cigarette lighter that had an on off switch. But Id rather not take up my outlet, and Id also like it to look a little nore hidden than that. Possibly rig it to a switch I can mount somewhere
AkumaMax
you can rig a switch over by your mirror switch. As for the "Add a Fuse" Idea. All the lighting needs is a power and ground. In your case it would be light-switch-power/ground Add a fuse is a power source that take a fuse from your fuse box under your dash near your mirror switch(lower of course) Remove a fuse and place it into the add a fuse and then simple add another fuse(whatever amp is required for the lights) and then plug it back into the fuse socket of the one you removed from your car.
