BigTree
Hey guys. 05 lgt. I have a small coolant leak under the hood somewhere. It ends up on the exhaust making awesome coolant smells enter the car from time to time. No visible leaks or puddles. I remember reading something about a small leak near the turbo maybe? A hose clamp if I recall? Just hoping for some advice on hunting this pain in the ass leak down! Thanks for the time and space!
Max Capacity
Remove that useless engine cover, then look around the turbo. You should see the rubber hose leaking that feeds the turbo. FWIW, both my cars have the engine cover removed. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. BigTree
Fair enough! Thanks! Didn't think it would be that easy to track down. I'll update what I find!
06silvarubiLGT
Max is probably right.. Ive seen quite a few leak from the top coolant hose to turbo.. sometimes its just weak clamp, other times swollen and brittle hose..
