lingling1337
Hey all, I just got a great deal on a gt wagon, only problem is the body is pretty rough. The front and rear bumper and the hood need to be painted for sure which is why I was thinking about a full respray or wrap. Otherwise there are a few bare metal spots all around the car and rust on one fender, and hail damage on the roof. I'm planning to take it around to get estimates but Im hoping to get a few more ideas on what direction to go first. I do want an oem look first and foremost. Any comments are appreciated. quick4dr
dip can be a super affordable option as well. average about 600 for flat black, maybe 1000 for a fancy color/ pearl finish.
lingling1337
I've never seen a dip I liked, its taken me a while to even warm up to the idea of a vinyl

lingling1337
Ive never heard of that liquid wrap, looks like they can do some crazy colors though. Im not sure if anyone local does that, I'm in Colorado. The one shop I found that lists pricing on their site said a sedan wrap starts at $4250

lingling1337
I found a local place that looks like they do awesome dips. Their satin white pearl looks spot on. The price is so good I may have to give it a shot!
Rusty9
vinyl will not hide any imperfections in the paint or body
lingling1337
Damn really, my buddy told me the opposite. The dip will help hide imperfections though? Tbh some of the dips ive been looking at look almost as good as vinyl, with that new top coat.
paul7ro
Spend a little more and go with painting. You can do the prep before taking her to a body shop so that you can save a few bucks.
lingling1337
Thats what im leaning towards at this point. The body needs so much prep and correction that Id rather paint than try to wrap over rust and dents.
