davidy.mail
A question for my wife's 09 subaru outback 2.5i special edition. She just had the car for about 2 months. When she drove the outback on highway at CONSTANT speed,e.g. 70 MPH, no acceleration at all, the engine speed could all of a sudden go up by 1000 rpm and then go down immediately. I confirmed with my wife that she did not try to accelerate at all when that happens. It is kind of scary. Because the car bucks and rocks when that happens. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

davidy.mail
That is not happening all the time. It is hard to replicate the issue. I drove the car on the highway. But I could not get that issue to occur.
