Obsessotron Posted May 25, 2011 Share Posted May 25, 2011 My 2007 LGT has the option to use Satellite radio, but I have the choice of getting the OEM unit installed or doing an aftermarket controller. As the SAT button on my dash does nothing. Would you guys (and gals) suggest going for the integrated unit or the aftermarket? What are your experiences with integrated? ssbtech Posted May 25, 2011 Share Posted May 25, 2011 $300 or more for the OEM unit, and $70 or so for the standalone unit that plugs into your Aux-in connection. The plus side to the OEM unit is it is concealed whereas the standalone unit has to sit on your window somehwere, begging to be stolen. If I could, I'd have the OEM unit. Now if you live somewhere you can set up an outdoor antenna the standalone unit is portable so you can use your one subscription inside your house if you'd like.
