smack
My left front wheel has been making this high pitched whining noise that gets higher as the car goes faster and then drones out as the wheel slows to a stop. I made an appointment for this saturday to get it checked but i really do not want to waste all that time on my day off. Anyone know what it could be and how i can stop it? The noise doesnt happen all of the time either. It seems when it rains the noise goes away too.
jay_spec
Sounds like your wheel bearing. It's a pretty common problem. I had the noise coming from the same wheel at about 12,000 miles and had it replaced. blackfang
I would sway towards a wheel bearing. You are still within warranty so let them fix it. blackfang
Yep. I just replaced one today for my customer and told him to seek reimbursement for the other one that was replaced last year. If your vehicle falls under that program, when the Service Advisor pulls your vehicle inquiry, it will tell them.
