Brock Samson
What are the specific differences between LGT Wagons and XT Outbacks? I know ride height is #1, and aesthetically the exhaust is different, but that's about as much as I can tell from the few test drives I've had. Also, if any of you know the actual ground clearance difference that would be useful too. Thanks! Got the money burning a hole in my pocket for my new Suby, can't WAIT!!! Brock Samson
Hah! good luck. I do now know that the gear ratios are different in the manuals. Don't know about ride height, I think exhausts are basically the same- the tips on the OB are hidden, and the bumper is different. Besides that...its all trim... BAC5.2
Not much difference. Suspension is obviously different, though most LGT stuff swaps. Brakes are different, again LGT stuff swaps. Interior is a little different (the early cars said OUTBACK on the cluster). The drivetrain is slightly different, different gear ratios, different driveshaft. Obviously trim differences, bumpers, grille, body cladding, etc. For all intents, however, it's a lifted LGT wagon. Most mods swap, though not all. Brock Samson
Handling by a noticeable margin. I've heard that even a stock XT has far too much power for its handling, although that seems to be common in America these days. thanks for the answers guys! BAC5.2
Stock suspension is a bit dicey, and it's very easy to over-drive.
