blongo804
Cool thread! Not bashing, but wondering why does the PSI curve goes up and down several times? Should it not be smooth? I don't know what i'm talking about..just wondering lol.
SSpeed
It should be smooth, however, on that graph you are looking at a variance of maybe .25 -.5 psi..
blongo804
Oh ok, that makes sense then. I didn't even think to look at the axis numbers.
BAC5.2
That dyno reads wicked low, lol. SSpeed
Ha ha, or we're 5800ft above sea level... Stage2 was 217hp here, stock 180ish... ;(
BAC5.2
Missed the elevation. That's not terrible, then. Legend
That dyno reads wicked low, lol. Yep, probably lowest dyno anywhere. I ran 12.9's on my 279whp VF52 setup at 5860' track elevation, so 300whp on this dyno equals mid 12's at sea level. Lucid
Curious why you dyno at Boost Creep and get etuned by Infamous. You're welcome to tell me to bugger off and that it's none of my damn business.

RallyMachine
is this the first tune that was done on the car? i'd be interested in seeing that boost graph before and after the ebc/16g...
SSpeed
is this the first tune that was done on the car? i'd be interested in seeing that boost graph before and after the ebc/16g... The bottom overlay is the VF40 on stage2 vs the 16g tune. Remember that I'm a mile above sea level and numbers aren't going to look as good as those of you with nice dense air. mustangendsley
my stage 2 is 233 hp and 260 tq. Not much diff than your 16g turbo, Im surprised you 16 g is not more. Im in colorado also.
SSpeed
You also have to consider type of dyno, temp of day tested, correction factor, etc. The 16g is still on stock fueling, you can't go much more than that. I've since added a PW intercooler and had Cryo tune it, don't have numbers for that yet.

Remember that I'm a mile above sea level and numbers aren't going to look as good as those of you with nice dense air. i saw that graph, but was wondering if you have a boost vs. rpm graph at stage 2. just curious to see how the spool changed and how much better boost was sustained to redline. anyway, you are running 10.5 afr, is that correct? SSpeed
This isn't my current setup. On this dyno I was <10.5 AFR, boost tapering to 15.5 psi, target of 17.5psi. Currently I'm at 11.0 AFR, boost tapering to 17.5 I believe, target of 19.5psi. Haven't done a good dyno with that yet and I'm off my left foot again for another 3 weeks. The 16g could easily hold more out to redline if we wanted to, we just saw declining results after 17.5psi on the upper end of the powerband that we felt weren't worth pushing it on since I had stock fueling. Boost response followed the torque curve if you look at the overlay. I hit peak boost at nearly the same time as the VF40 did. The VF40, IIRC, held something like a measly 10.5psi to redline. Isn't Grand Junction at 4,500ft? Is that where you dyno'ed? I dyno'ed in Longmont at 6,600ft. That is a difference. What dyno did you dyno on and what was the correction factor? What was the temp of the day you did it?
mustangendsley
We have a awd dino here now at ASF. I will have to get the paper to look at the numbers.
