SPR3472
I got the factory sub installed today and I am very happy with it so far. It is just enough bass to bring out a real good feel to my system. Now as soon as I replace the door speakers and add my amp, the system will be awesome! 8) I cannot wait! :D
Guest *Jedimaster*
Did you go with the factore Legacy or WRX one?

liquidiq
Does it make the door speakers cross over at a higher frequency, so they aren't trying to reproduce the bass as well?

NewGTGuy
You are correct. But, you can turn down the base on the stereo and turn up the gain on the sub.
dskelto
I did some adjustments to my sub and it seemed that the sub freq control did change the bass output of the door speakers. Front only. It also seems that the rear door speakers are not routed through the sub at all.
c_hunter
The sub tees into the rear speaker lines in the harness. The crossover knob only controls the low pass filter on the sub itself, and does not feed back into the regular speakers. So I hate to say it, but you were way off!! :-) Craig
B4GT
This may be a stupid question but my sub came with the car so I did not get to see it when it was installed? Where exactly is this crossover knob located? How can I adjust it? Thanks. [quote name='c_hunter']The sub tees into the rear speaker lines in the harness. NewGTGuy
I installed my OEM sub myself. There are two screws on the side of it. Use a screw driver to adjust the crossover and gain.
