lucasb4
have problems with my drivetrain (2000 jdm b4 twin turbo 75k) i thought it was the rear diff, have taken it off this evening, got about a litre of thick brown fluid out of it, was wondering if there is any way of knowing it the diff is ok or broken, it spins ok from the prop end and no bad noises or physical signs if damage other than the leaky seals, and also can i pop it open without problem and look inside it then reseal it? Any help appreciated, andy
Max Capacity
If they mount like 2005-2009's do you need to lower it from the chassis mounts to remove the cover. The dealer had a new metal gasket. Those top mount nuts can be a pita. Thick brown, yes the 75w-90 is pretty thick. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
