It's already done. My buddy did it for me. He charged me 800 for the HG. and 300 for the axles with parts and all.

Nice buddy, that's cheaper than you could have had it done at a good shop.

I'd say you got a decent deal on the car. That's a good deal less than market value of the car.

I sort of wish i went to a good shop now. It's leaking oil and i dont like that way the engine feels. :(

I already started pouring money into the car. I need suspension bad.

Im looking on CL for WRX struts and springs as mine are shot.

Tires, Brakes...

Replaced shifter linkage...

I found wrx springs from a 2003 wrx and struts from a 2005 wrx wagon. Should i mix the 2 and would they work? Or just get a set or Raceland coils?

Did you use subaru head gaskets, put them on dry, and follow the crazy torque sequence?

How do you mean the engine feels wrong?

  • 3 weeks later...

Get the timing belt done, if that's the original it's way overdue. If it breaks on you, you just bent all your valves. Congratulations.

To have head gaskets done (at a shop that's gonna do a decent job....) you're looking at probably $900, maybe more.
