Are you putting in the Legacy rear upper control arms to help with the camber?

I don't know?? I have some whiteline adjustable lower control arms. I don't know if it's gonna be enough.

I'm so happy you went with that round opening back bumper. Any clue or any way to test if that bumper would fit on the sedans? I've seen the longer opening bumper on both, but only seen this round opening bumper on wagons.

It won't fit witout major custom modification. 1st thing I see is the openings for the red reflectors that you dont have on sedans. 2nd The sedan rear cover looks completely different in length on the sides.

One thing that helps is that it is double sided taped to the cover and there is a rubber strip that is a bit forgiving.

Also real hard to find at a reasonable price.

What are you using to adjust camber? Are you going to run Legacy rear upper control arms? I know a few outback guys that are lowered that are running the arms in conjunction with other things for camber adjustment in the rear.

Take a look at this post. Will shed some light on what others have done to get camber and toe within stock specs.

Yeah I have searched on that before. I will see what is the outcome at the alignement shop before ordering more parts. There was a guy here selling ajustable toe arms. Maybe that also would be good. Only thing was the balljoints were shot...

Had two real busy days so far this week. I did all the doors reassembly. All rubber seals plus windows plus all the bits.

Got to do the rear bumper today. And start wet sanding and buffing.

Also I don't like the wheels in gunmetal. Will need to paint those in bright silver.

The speed at which you do this work is absolutely astounding to me.

Well it seems slow from my point of view... I could do this a bit quicker but I prefer taking my time not to miss anything. It now looks fast because it is reassembly. When I installed the front end on the car it took me around 45 min. My gf was amazed when she saw the progress I made.

But it took me maybe 20-30 hours preparing these parts like sanding priming and painting... that did not amaze anyone.

Anyways thanks for the kind words!!! More pics to come of course when I do that rear bumper cover.

Was looking through pics and looks like you're keeping the rails?

No Im not keeping the outback rails. I will post pics tomorrow of what I will

Be using. I have drilled holes for 2009 impreza hidden fixed points. I have the jdm br9 flat rails the I bought on japanparts. They have small flip doors to bolt crossbars in the fixed points directly. No more bulky bars on top!

Can you take pics of the install? I bought the rails used but it didn't come with any instructions and I'm not sure if I received all the parts.

Yes ok I will since there is not any info online that I found. You need to take off the roof inside liner to take off the outback rails. Then put some sealer to the holes that you won't be using. Around 10 each sides. Pics tomorrow.

These are the impreza fixed points for crossbars.

Sealed holes from outback old rails.

Only 2 mounting tabs in front on the outback. So I decided to double side tape the rest of the clips. With adhesion promoter on each clip and body surface.

Hidden cross bar mounts.

Voila!

Took a big 20 minutes.

Do the crossbar bolts thread right into those hidden mounts or thru the roof?

Don't know but I have a contact in Norway that says he will take pics tomorrow and send them to me. I'll post those when I get them. These are the bars he's using and his car. 2ac3c9e220814ee4d3614b2a25d92d2e.jpgb1d17f783f06a8bcb4751c4b57a554a0.jpg
