took the time to snazz up the LGT before WBM this weekend haha i had to re-hardwire my warranty-replaced inverters for my halos and i changed out my turn/parking LED to the new dual-color LED bulbs.

these are the new dual-colored LEDs that use the white LED for the parking light, and amber/off for the turn function.

here's a video but i ran out of memory before i stopped the turn function haha.

thanks :)

i was gonna go a different route and use the flex LEDs behind the clear "strip" inside the headlight housing and hardwire that into my parking lights, but i was concerned with the quality of the LED strips and i didnt wanna re-bake my headlights over and over again if they burnt out.

this was much easier and it pretty much serves the same aesthetic purpose!

those are the white (parking) and amber/off (turn flashing) bulbs for our car but you'll need the flasher module or load resistor to prevent it from blinking twice as fast.

there's another type of LED where it's white (parking) and amber/white (turn flashing) but i cant seem to find the link for it. it appears that our cars are not wired for a normal 3157 bulb. if you look in the socket for the parking/turn bulb, you can see that one side of the socket has contacts that are all touching each other, which means that the 3157 bulb MUST share a common ground side. i bought the normal LED 3157 bulb and it kept blowing out my parking light fuse, and i realized that bulb wiring was different than our socket wiring. you'll need to purchase the SWACK 3157 bulbs for it to work on our cars.

katalyst - didn't you see my wheels at the last korean BBQ meet?? haha either way, i'll see you guys this weekend.

MOMSWGN - flip flops are the way to go.. sneakers just make my feet hot haha

damn. i'm making out a trip to W. MA or NJ. baking car parts is just something i'd rather not do. well battery and intake removal isn't difficult.

oh dear..

I may have to do this.

it might look stupid next to my old crappy halogens tho.

:edit:

actually.. I'm gonna have to pass. Read the review on the v-leds.com website..

I've seen other LEDs and passed on using them for that same reason.

I'm disappointed that manufactures cant seem to make LED lights that even compare at all to incandescents.
