Fuel filter replacement...

Recommended Posts

So this should be real easy, but mine is fighting me so some questions: '99 Outback wagon

1) What is the easiest way to disable the fuel pump? Not keen on dismantling the floor to get to the electrical. Must be a fuse somewhere, but I can't find it.

2) After loosening the hose clamps and tips on getting the hoses off?

Thanks!

You shouldn't have to disable the fuel pump... I let my car sit over night and did it the next morning and there wasn't much fuel that spilled out of the hose. The hoses get stuck on there pretty good. Just have to do a lot of twisting and pulling...
