boostedcuda
Can you send me a picture of the part, by looking at it I should be able to tell you how it goes on/off, you might not have to remove the door panel/window. Also, how much did they get you for it, have the exact same thing on my drivers side back door.
chrispyvu
well, they gave it to me for free when we bought the car , so i dont know how much it is. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v466/lilvietkid91/P1020632.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v466/lilvietkid91/P1020633.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v466/lilvietkid91/P1020634.jpg
boostedcuda
There should be no need to take the window out, and there will be no screws. Those clips on the trim will snap into holes in the sheet metal inside at the top of the door. If you put the window all the way down you should be able to gently snap the existing one off. Once that is off check to make sure there are no clips left broken in the mounting holes, slide the new down into the crack and clip it in. I have done this on my 07 Envoy, the part looked very similar. The trick is to be patient and not force anything.
lilrabbit129
I've had one of those replaced ( part of an insurance thing with other damage). And they did it pretty quickly. I wasn't there watching but they described it similar to how boostedcuda described. It should snap in, once you get the old one out.
chrispyvu
i`ll give it a shot later tonite then . thanks for the help guys :] btw , can this be done with bare hands or what sort of tools might be needed
lofthouse_gt
My guess is you should be able to pull that out with just your fingers. If any of the clips are broken you may need a flat head screwdriver to get them out of the indentions in the sheet metal. I am also interested in what this piece goes for two of mine are messed up from when I bought the car, pretty sweet they hooked you up with it for free. chrispyvu
i just found a thread with the prices and partnumbers for those parts . http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/does-anyone-know-part-these-piecesi-121448.html i also found out that the end of the rubber piece that is nearest to the rear door has a hole where a screw secures it into place. sooo, i think you`d probably have to take apart the door a bit to change out this part .
