nikki88
Hi guys....I'm sorry to come in here as a newbie and ask a bunch of questions but I need some help. I have a 2009 Legacy Limited Edition. I have an awful noise that resembles wheel bear noise....About six months ago I changed the right front...I have just got done changing the other three. The noise remains unchanged. It's a whiring type noise that gets louder the faster I go and is most noticable upon turning the wheel to the left to any degree. I'm trying to avoid going to a shop for diagnosis since I can do most of the work on my own if I know what the problem is. My car has about 107,000 and I got it when it had about 60,000. I've never had to change anything underneath so as far as I know everything on it is originial. Only work I have done is oil changes and the waterpump/timing belt and everything that goes along with that, plus the hub assembly on all four sides. Any ideas? TIA! Boulderguy
This sounds like a differential problem, especially with the noise changing when turning. Try re-posting this to the transmission part of the forum, those guys would know.
