Subaru Decal Emblems?

Ive seen the decals that cover your emblems to change its color. Where do you get them and do they look good? Id rather do this then repaint them.

i have a couple on my legacy, they don't look that bad, i'll try to get some pics up later

I just got my new L7 vinyls for front, rear and center caps, I'll try and get some pics up as soon as I get em on.

check out the sl-i forums DIY.I think sl-i or nasioc, one or the other. super easy mod.anyone could do this.

1-remove emblem from grille.

2-remove all glue from back of emblem.

3-sand off paint from back of emblem(100-220 grit,whatever it takes)

4-paint backside of emblem(this will give you your backgroung color)

5-wait for paint to dry.

6-apply double sided sticky foam tape (or equivalent) to oval on grille.

7-slap on your emblem & drive away.

DO NOT SAND, i don't recommend it.

 

I tried sanding it the first time with 1000 and then 2000 grit, doesn't work very well because it damages the emblem. Easy way, nail polish remover and paper towels. After all the paint is gone, rinse off very well. Then spray paint!! easy as pie. the decals were only temporary for me, until i had time to paint my emblems

Nail polish is a great idea.Sanding worked fine for me.No emblem damage.

I just sanded mine down and painted the inside too, no damage and they look great, I tried the nail polish remover and it didn't seem to take the paint off....
