Timken hubs are not the same as factory?

I was of the understanding that Timken supplies the factory hubs for the 05-09 Legacy. I bought replacement Timken hubs off RockAuto and while they bolted up, the hub face is much thinner than the factory hubs. Is there a better brand with thicker hub faces? See photo for comparison...

Pretty sure Mike @ AZP is correct. Timken is definitely not OEM. NSK, Koyo or NTN would be the most likely.

There is also the possibility that Timken is not manufacturing those hubs themselves but rather sourcing them & reboxing them. This is not an uncommon practice.

If you open a Centric premium hub or an SKF hub you can often find a reboxed NSK, Koyo, Timken, etc., especially on applications they don't specialize in. Timken is an OE supplier largely for domestic applications so I wouldn't be surprised if you found a Koyo or NSK part # etched onto the hub.
